Being a novice at the lending game, I turned to my friend from University Dave Lennox and his company Vision to help me. I wanted a loan that suited me but didn't have time to shop around (as both my work and personal lives are pretty busy). I was buying an investment property and my offer had been accepted without having pre-approval of finance. Very quickly and efficiently the team at Vision sorted out my approval and I was able to place a deposit on the property in under a week.
They liased with my solicitors (who weren't located in Sydney) and the bank. It was fantastic how little I had to do. Everything went smoothly, including settlement and the setting up of my new bank accounts. They walked me through everything and had a really good knowledge of which banks had the best services.
Well that could of been a fluke in service or a one-off. But 2 years later when I decided to buy a house in Sydney, I also had my offer accepted without having pre-approval (as I knew how efficient Vision were).
As I was going to be very stretched on this second loan, they battled through the banks risk profiles and decided that I should go through another bank (which meant more paperwork for them as they had to change my existing loan also). Despite me wanting to settle early and putting a lot of pressure on to do this, everything again ran smoothly and ALL my queries were answered within the day (if not the hour). In addition they were always careful to ensure I wasn't over-stretching myself and had enough cash in the bank at all times (Dave is an Accountant after all!!)
And the next time I want a home loan, would I use Vision again - Absolutely. It's stressful enough buying a property without have to worry about form filling and chasing finance.
